‘Battle In vain’ is a 7 colour print on 330gsm graphite (charcoal grey) Plike stock. size 380 x 720 mm, edition size 200.

These miniature figures (usually no bigger than a few inches) interact with one another and their surroundings creating site specific ephemeral scenarios that play out at pavement level. Hooked blog recently took some great shots of some new editions to the streets here.

Pablo has just finished a successful show at Pure Evil gallery and up-the-arts have recently helped him to create 4 stunning prints that he has released through the Nelly Duff gallery.

The prints come in 4 colourways, each printed with 5 colour and spot varnish, white named ‘the soiler’ – 240x470mm bright white Colorplan 290gsm, the red colourway with metallic silver stripe is named ‘the shiner’ - 240x470mm bright red Colorplan 290gsm, the black version on 240x470mm ebony Colorplan 290gsm stock is called the ‘inker’, and the last on smoke grey Colorplan stock is named ‘the cleaner’.

just like the Stay Up print, each one of these has an element of hand finishing, the stars, reach lift highlights, highlights on the kids are all drawn/painted in by hand.

these have been on the table for a while now, but are finally ready to release. We were very pleased to be approached by Eelus and the Novos team to realise this edition of prints.

A quick background into the Novos project: Novos is a sci-fi film in the making, part funded by the revenue generated by sales of Novos inspired print editions by a number of carefully chosen artists.

This one by Eelus, ‘Foreign Objects’ is a 5 colour print, regular edition 125, a great new recycled stock to the studio, Paperback – Loop (milkweed) 300gsm, 500 x 700mm.

Also comes in a special ‘dusk’ variation (edition of 15). 5 colour printed to Somerset Satin (300gsm) soft white, guillotine edge.

we’ve just finished these beauties for Newcastle based design agency: Wonder Stuff Studio

‘Happiness Test’ created by Paul Alderson, this clever image at first glance uses nostalgic typography to get the message accross. But on closer inspection there’s a slightly more edgy meaning to it.

Got to admit, I’d artworked and printed them, and it was only when I was taking them off the rack that I saw it, but then again I’d had quite a bit of ‘Happiness’ the night before so was probably not 100%.

This is what 825 prints looks like. As well as printing, we had an Olly embossing stamp made up.

There were also 2 special colour variants (pink, orange), 10 of each printed, these were to be stuffed in random tubes – a bonus for any lucky punter that got one

As well as print, stamp and process the orders, we also arranged shipping and packing, which proved to be a thankless task that we’ll definitely think twice about in future. Reports of a few damages (some very slight), some out of our control (doesn’t matter how tight you roll a print if a truck rolls over it), some undelivered (try giving us the right address). Inevitably there were going to be some casualties, of the 850 prints sent out, we had to replace 17. That’s 2%! However that said, apologies to anyone that did receive a damaged print, and I hope you’d agree that we resolved the matter as soon as it was reported to us.

Hin intricately draws the image of an orangutan face using his right hand, whilst the bodies are individually hand finished with… his left!

We produced the screenprints, edition of 125, printed on a great paper from GFSmith, Gmund Bier 250gsm,Weizen(white), which is made from re-cycled beer bottle labels, which is why it has the fleck in it.

The print uses beautifully hand-rendered type to cleverly illustrate the lyrics to the Elbow song ‘Mirrorball’.

The prints were printed in 2 different silver… inks, on Fedrigoni Sirio Stardust – a really good 290gsm smooth stock, with a subtle silver fleck.

These prints slot nicely into our ‘dirty thirty’ category, an edition of 30 prints released at the end of the month-around the 3oth and selling at a very ‘easy on the pocket’ £30.

The prints themselves are printed on Somerset Satin 310gsm paper, 400 x 300 mm with 2 natural deckled edge/2 false deckled edge.

The image and quote have been taken from the Stanley Kubrick classic 2001: A Space Oddysey, and re-interpretted and brought bang up to date ‘innit!’

The prints will be available to browse on-the-rack here until their release at the end of Novemeber, they will then be available exclusively from Tom’s BigCartel site coming soon

These are from an edition of 100 prints, 1 colour on 310 gsm Somerset Satin White stock, 2 natural deckle/2 false deckle edge, size 18×24 inch, all signed and stamped with the ‘Loveless’ logo. The print is titled: ‘Nostalgia’, and demonstrates Loveless’ recognisable ‘etchy’ illustration style see more of his work here

The prints are going to be released at the end of this month (3oth November) and you’ll be able to pick one up from his BigCartel store here for an extremely affordable £30. Also up for grabs for an extra £20 is a very limited edition of 2 colour specials, 15 will have a red on the Union Jack.
